Pakistan
We have started our hunting season in a not entirely simple country, with its own rules, laws and culture. In January we hunted in Pakistan and took a qualifying ibex and 2 urials. At first, it was very unusual for locals to walk around with Kalash rifles in their hands, and you don’t understand what thoughts are in the head of the person coming to meet you. You also need to get used to the food first, the locals eat few vegetables, but a lot of rice and chicken, the meat is usually always overcooked, and the country has a dry law, so be prepared for the fact that at the hunting bases you will not be pampered with alcoholic beverages.
The hunt was not easy, the hunter did not have a single easy shot or an easy trophy, each trophy was taken with great difficulty and long distances in the mountains. We walked about 15 km a day, and so on for ten days. Due to heavy physical exertion, difficult trophies and food that was not usual for me, I lost a lot of weight, but gained an unforgettable experience both while hunting and communicating with local residents outside of hunting.
