Hunting in Uzbekistan
The main trophy of Uzbekistan is the Severtsov ram, it belongs to the genus of real rams. Only 4 licenses for mining these Rams are issued annually.
The length of the male is about 130 cm, and the height of the withers is no more than 80 cm. The horns are up to 105 cm, and the weight of the male is up to 70 kg. (maximum trophy characteristics - 110 cm, typical - 80-90 cm). The hunting season runs from September to December and March. The end of October and the middle of December is the best time for hunting the Severtsov ram.
This type of ram prefers bad slopes and peaks. If they feel danger, they hide in gorges with steep slopes. Animals are most active in the warm season, in the early morning and evening hours. You can drive to the grounds (about 6 hours) or rent a helicopter.
For mountain hunters all over the world, the rarest and most desirable trophy is the Bukhara Markhur. Only two licenses are issued annually for Burkhar Markhur. The population of this species is 500-700 individuals. A male whose horns are more than 80 cm and older than 8-9 years is considered a trophy. Horns have a lyre-like shape. The hunting season is the second half of November and the middle of December, which is the best time for hunting.
Hunting area: Kugitangtau Ridge on the right bank of the Amu Darya River - only the Burkhar marhur lives here. Hunting is carried out in Tangi-Duval, Zargus sai and Kulbat sai tracts. The height in this part does not exceed 2500 m above sea level. Another very rare trophy animal lives in these areas, and this is the Bukhara urial. Very few hunters have this trophy in their collection. The size of the population allows for high-quality hunting of the Bukhara Urial. The hunting season is open throughout the year, from November to December is the best time.
Siberian mountain goat - lives in the mountains at an altitude of 1600 m to 3200 m above sea level. The hunting season starts from September to April, the best time for hunting is October and November. Hunting is carried out in the Shavazsai area 2500 - 3000 m above sea level, which is 100 km from Tashkent, and in the Beldersai area 2500 m above sea level, which is 90 km from Tashkent.
The Tien Shan brown bear is a large predator, its body length is up to 150 cm and its weight is up to 200 kg. The hunting season is September-October.
